Both Clay Lakes provide great Carp Fishing in Northern France and are impressively stocked, large Commons and big Mirrors are present in both lakes and offer anglers an exciting challenge. The lakes were netted and dredged in 2008 to peel back their true beauty ensuring the optimum environment for the resident fish to be able to continue to grow. In the close season of 2017 we netted both lakes removing over 800kg of small carp between the weights of 3lb to 10lb. Both Lakes are rested through the winter period after the busy 2018 season while we continue with our planned development around the Lakes ready for the 2019 guests.

Clay Lakes (1) for a maximum of three anglers and 3 swims it has around 150 Carp mainly a mix of Mirrors and Commons with 4 Grass Carp. 57lb, 51lb, 48lb & 46lb Mirrors are some of the best weights in Lake 1 plus a good head of up and coming mid 40lb fish and plenty of 30lb+ Carp. The majority of the stock are between 28lb to 35lb and anything smaller than 10lb are removed and placed into the stock pond between the two lakes.

Clay Lakes (2) for a maximum of four anglers and six swims it has around 250 Carp, a mix of Mirrors and Commons and a couple of Silver Grass Carp. Lake record is a 63lb Mirror and 7 different Carp 50lb+ have been reported during the 2018 season. Lots of the fish are now gaining significant weights, this year alone we have seen a number of fish banked 49lb and we certainly expect those to push on in 2019. Plenty of 40lb+ and 30lb+ Carp have also been banked in 2018 so make sure you have a look at our Gallery Page to see more of the catches by our guests and a glimpse of what you could be fishing for in 2019.
